Get To Know Me

Updated: May 27, 2020

This is me in Pula, Croatia on my way to a private island for me and my classmates.

Hi everyone! I am the creator of Well Said. I am excited to share my knowledge about health & wellness with you.

I found a passion for health at a young age when I was overly active in sports. My nights usually consisted of basketball, volleyball and soccer practices which eventually led me to my calling for health promotion!

It took me a while to discover what I truly wanted to do. I started my journey wanting to be a personal trainer which quickly changed to a nutritionist and then a dietician. Through life experiences, my major at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, and a recent internship at Exact Sciences, I found my calling.

What sparked my interest to move from a personal trainer to the nutrition route was when my mom endured a lot of health issues and started researching ways to help her feel better and have more energy. Medicine was not working. She started reading about how nutrition can heal you from the inside out. My family started incorporating organic foods into our diets when I was 15 years old. From then on I have loved learning about what each food does for or to your body.

My goal in life is to help as many people as possible become the best version of themselves and I believe that starts with proper nutrition and exercise. Once those are understood, the rest will fall into place.

The first question you may be asking yourself is, “What gives you the credibility to promote health”? Great Question. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion and Wellness. I have created an employee wellness program, worked in corporate wellness and am CPR/AED/First Aid certified. I have tried all of the fad diets so that I can relate to clients and be able to talk about why they do or do not work. In my sophomore year of college, I studied cultural health and wellness differences between countries in Europe and America which gave me a global perspective on lifestyle variances and how to overcome situational adversity when looking at wellness.

Well Said is a safe and inspiring place to learn about a holistic approach to the seven dimensions of wellness. I hope to support you on your wellness journey and answer questions you never knew that you needed to ask.
