5 Easy Avocado Toast Recipes

I am very excited to share with you my favorite avocado toast recipes!! I can (and do) eat avocado toast almost every day for breakfast and sometimes for lunch. 


First, everyone knows that avocados are healthy, but they may not know why. Avocados are healthy fats that are high in fiber and folate. Fiber helps you to stay fuller for longer which may decrease snacking throughout the day and lead to less weight gain. 


If you don't know much about healthy fats, they are good for your heart, cholesterol, and overall health. Other types of healthy fat foods are salmon, nuts, chia seeds, and extra virgin olive oil. 


Folate is needed for the body to make DNA and for your cells to divide. 



4 quick facts that avocados can do for you:

  • Lower risk of depression

  • Improve digestion

  • Improve vision

  • Help symptoms of osteoporosis


Recipe Time!!!!


I’m sure you know that there are probably 500,000 different kinds of avocado toast recipes. These are my 5 favorites. If you have read any of my other recipes you know that I “guestimate” measurements… sorry to all of you perfectionists out there!


1. “OG” Avocado Toast

This was the first avocado toast I ever tried to make. 


Make toast

Mash-up as much as avocado as you’d like in a bowl

Throw in a dash of garlic powder

2 Dashes of salt (pink Himalayan sea salt is my go-to)

2 Dashes of pepper

2 Dashes of Italian seasoning

5 Drops of lemon juice

Mix and spread on a piece of toast and enjoy!

2. “Christmas” Avocado Toast

Make toast

Mash up an avocado in a bowl

 2 Dashes of sea salt

 2 Dashes of pepper

 5 Drops of lemon juice

 Mix and spread on toast

 Sprinkle on pomegranate seeds

 *Optional add sprinkles of goat cheese


3. “Say Cheese” Avocado Toast

This recipe uses the same avocado mash-up and seasonings. The difference is that you top it with crumbles of feta cheese or goat cheese. 


4. “Game Changer” Avocado Toast

This is where I take avocado toast to the next level. You would never guess that there is a big difference in the extremely small change that I made to the avocado toast. I'll probably never go back! The small change: Don’t mash up the avocado, cut it into slices.


Make toast

Cut avocado into slices, place on toast

Dash of pepper

Dash of Lawry's seasoning

5 Drops of lemon juice


I don’t know why, but for some reason, avocado toast is so much better when it is cut into slices rather than mashed-up. You have to try it to see. 


5. “Everything” Avocado Toast

Make toast

Cut avocado into slices, place on toast

Sprinkle on Everything but the Bagel seasoning or Simply Organic Everything seasoning. 

5 Drops of lemon juice
